Get ready to mark your calendars because we’re declaring March 25th the world's first National Square Sausage Day!

We have a passion for the square sausage and March 25th (a square number nonetheless) will be dedicated to celebrating and enjoying the beloved Scottish delicacy. 

While the origins of the square sausage, also commonly known as Lorne sausage, remain a mystery, its status as an iconic Scottish food is undeniable.

So why not join in on the festivities by having a delicious square sausage breakfast, lunch or dinner? Not only is the square sausage a tasty treat, but it’s also convenient, taking less time and energy to cook than a link sausage. 

Excitingly, as we count down to National Square Sausage Day, our 700g pack of square sausage slices will be on special offer for £3.50 in Scottish Tesco stores from 6th to 26th March. And throughout March we’ll be sharing cooking tips and tricks on social media to help you serve the perfect square sausage.
